Who we are

This website, wattshot.africa, is operated by WATTSHOT (the "responsible party" under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013, or POPIA). Company registration details and our Information Officer's contact details are published here before launch.

This website does not sell products. Purchases are made on the separate official store, wattshot.co.za, which has its own privacy policy.

What we collect

Trade enquiry form

If you send a trade enquiry we receive your name, email address, phone number (optional), company or venue, country, business type and your message. We also record that you confirmed you are 18 or older and accepted this notice.

Analytics (only if you accept cookies)

If you choose Accept on the cookie banner we load Google Analytics 4. It collects usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, how you arrived, and when you click through to wattshot.co.za. If you choose Decline, analytics does not load.

Stored in your browser

• Your age confirmation (kept for 30 days) so we do not ask on every page.
• Your cookie choice.

These two items stay on your device. They are not sent to us.

Why we use it

• To reply to your trade enquiry.
• To understand which content is useful and how many visitors continue to the store, so we can improve the website.
• To meet our legal duty to restrict alcohol marketing to adults.

Who receives it

Enquiry details are delivered to WATTSHOT by email. Analytics data is processed by Google, which may store it outside South Africa. We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep it

Trade enquiries are kept only as long as needed to deal with your request and any resulting business relationship. Analytics data follows the retention period configured in our Google Analytics account.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask us to confirm what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you may object to its use. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
